Virgil Abloh was a trailblazing American designer and artist, best known as the founder of the high-end streetwear brand Off-White and as the historic first Black artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton.
Virgil Abloh was an architect-turned-fashion visionary who bridged the gap between streetwear and luxury fashion. After rising to prominence as a creative director for Kanye West, he founded his own Milan-based label, Off-White, in 2013. In 2018, he shattered industry barriers by becoming the first Black artistic director for Louis Vuitton menswear, a role he held until his untimely passing in 2021.
