Spalvieri & Del Ciotto is an Italian design studio formed by Simone Spalvieri and Valentina Del Ciotto, both born in 1982. They met in 2003 and later graduated from Politecnico di Milano in Industrial Design and Interior Design, respectively. After living and working in Milan and London, they established their practice in Tolentino, in Italy's Marche region, where the surrounding landscape and local manufacturing culture continue to influence their work.
The studio develops furniture, lighting, products, and experimental projects through a process grounded in observation, research, and material understanding. Its philosophy emphasizes clarity, balance, permanence, and the humanization of new technologies, allowing innovation to feel familiar and accessible. Spalvieri & Del Ciotto has collaborated with companies including Poltrona Frau, Zanotta, Magis, Established & Sons, Lexon, and Fratelli Guzzini. In 2013, the duo received the Top Young Italian Industrial Designers Prize and presented the Slow Design Exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York.
