Space Copenhagen is a multidisciplinary design studio founded in Copenhagen in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, both graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts' School of Architecture. From the beginning, the studio has worked across furniture, lighting, refined objects, art direction, and interior design, developing a language that feels at once intimate, architectural, and deeply atmospheric.
Over the past two decades, Space Copenhagen has built an international body of work spanning private homes, hotels, and restaurants, while creating furniture and lighting for leading brands including GUBI, Fredericia, &Tradition, Mater, Stellar Works, and Benchmark. Their work is distinguished by a subtle tension between classic and contemporary, formal restraint and sensual tactility, resulting in pieces and spaces that feel calm, sophisticated, and enduring.
