Luiza Guidi is a Brazilian designer and artist based in Amsterdam whose work explores memory, emotion, and human connection through objects, lighting, publications, and mixed-media projects. Her sensitive approach transforms personal narratives into refined designs with a quiet sense of intimacy, movement, and discovery.
Luiza Guidi was born in Brazil in 1993 and later moved to the Netherlands to study at Design Academy Eindhoven, graduating in 2019. Her multidisciplinary practice is rooted in the belief that design can serve as a tool for awakening sentiment. Drawing frequently from personal memories, family traditions, and nostalgia, she develops objects and visual narratives that invite reflection, interaction, and emotional recognition.
Based in Amsterdam, Guidi works across lighting, products, books, prints, and artistic installations, often collaborating with other designers and artists. Her Maya collection reveals her ability to merge spatial sensitivity with poetic function. Inspired by the architectural use of sunlight, the sculptural wall lights open and shift in response to movement, allowing illumination to gradually transform the surrounding space. Her work balances conceptual depth with restrained forms, tactile materials, and a distinctly personal design language.
