Keiji Takeuchi

Keiji Takeuchi

Nato nel 1977 | Japan

Keiji Takeuchi is a Japanese designer born in Fukuoka in 1977 whose work is distinguished by restraint, precision, and an understated elegance that feels both international and deeply personal. He spent much of his youth in New Zealand, where he studied product design, and also completed scholarship studies at ENSCI / Les Ateliers in Paris. After graduating, he returned to Japan and worked with Naoto Fukasawa before relocating to Milan, where he established his own design office in 2015.

Since then, Takeuchi has developed a body of work spanning furniture, lighting, tableware, and interiors for leading international brands including Living Divani, De Padova, Boffi, Fredericia, Ligne Roset, and Ichendorf. His designs are admired for their calm presence, thoughtful construction, and ability to make simplicity feel warm, sophisticated, and lasting. Working from Milan, he has built a contemporary design language rooted in reduction, but never emptiness, giving each object a quiet sense of purpose and refinement.
