Guilherme Wentz is a Brazilian designer whose work is distinguished by contemplative restraint, material sensitivity, and a contemporary vision deeply connected to nature. Born on July 17, 1987, in Caxias do Sul, in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, he first studied business before shifting to product design in 2008, a decision that marked the beginning of his creative career. He started working at the object brand Riva in 2010, and after graduating in 2012, he received the IDEA Brazil Award for his first product on the market, the Officer desk for Decameron.
He established his studio in 2013 and went on to design furniture, lighting, and objects for a range of brands, developing a language that feels at once minimal, tactile, and distinctly Brazilian. In 2014, he moved his studio to São Paulo, later earning recognition including the iF Design Award, the Museu da Casa Brasileira Award, and the title of Rising Talent by Maison & Objet Americas. In 2019, he launched WENTZ, his independent brand for furniture, lighting, and accessories, extending his vision of what the brand describes as silent and natural living. His work is admired for bringing together tropical sensibility, disciplined form, and an elegant sense of calm.
