García Cumini was founded in Udine, Italy, in 2012 by Italian designer Cinzia Cumini and Spanish designer Vicente García Jiménez. The studio emerged from the meeting of their complementary cultural and professional backgrounds, combining Italian refinement with Spanish vitality. Its work is shaped by a shared philosophy of Slow Design, an approach that looks beyond immediate form or function to consider the emotional presence, longevity, and broader meaning of an object.
The studio moves fluidly between product design, lighting, kitchens, interiors, exhibition environments, communication, and art direction. García Cumini has collaborated with manufacturers including Zanotta, Foscarini, Moroso, Arper, Cesar, and Agape, creating work that often unites technological research with expressive form and carefully considered materials. Projects such as the Spokes lighting collection for Foscarini and the Tweed tables for Zanotta demonstrate its ability to transform functional objects through graphic structure, organic geometry, and a strong spatial presence.
