Carlo Van Poucke is a Belgian ceramist and designer based in Gent, celebrated for his refined, clean aesthetic and his material‑driven approach to form. Trained in ceramics and photography at the Hogeschool voor Wetenschap & Kunst in Gent, he now teaches ceramic technology at the Westhoek Academie in Koksijde. His collaboration with Serax produced the Lens collection of plates and bowls, distinguished by their minimalist clarity and rooted in his philosophy that designing in clay is shaped by the elemental interplay of water, earth, air, and fire.
