Børge Mogensen was a Danish furniture designer and architect whose work helped define the quiet rigor and humanism of modern Danish design. Born in Aalborg in 1914, he trained first as a cabinetmaker before studying at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts and later at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
