Attila Veress and Davide Oldani

Attila Veress is a Transylvanian-born product designer based in Milan. Born in 1990 and raised in the United Arab Emirates, he studied industrial design and strategic design at IED Milano. His early achievements included recognition from the ADI Compasso d'Oro Targa Giovani and winning the BMW Creative Lab in 2013. In 2015, he established his independent studio, where he works across product development, creative direction, research, and design strategy. Davide Oldani, born in Cornaredo, Italy, in 1967, is an internationally recognized chef and the creator of Cucina POP, an approach that brings quality, accessibility, simplicity, and elegance together. He opened his restaurant D'O in Cornaredo in 2003.

Veress and Oldani began collaborating in 2012, developing products informed by close observation of dining behavior and the relationship between people, food, and objects. Their multidisciplinary partnership has produced more than 40 designs, spanning tableware, furniture, kitchens, cookware, and lighting. Notable projects include the Bontà portable lamp for Artemide, the Torrecotta ceramic collection for Cassina, and the CUCINAnD'O kitchen developed for ARAN Cucine. Their work moves beyond decoration, treating each object as an integral part of the culinary experience and balancing industrial precision with a warm, intuitive understanding of hospitality.
