Alfredo Haberli is a Swiss-Argentinian product designer whose work is distinguished by optimism, precision, and a strong sensitivity to the emotional life of objects. Born in 1964 in Buenos Aires, he moved to Switzerland in 1977 and graduated with distinction in Industrial Design from the Hohere Schule fur Gestaltung in Zurich in 1991. That same year, he opened his own studio near Lake Zurich, beginning a career that would establish him as one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary European design.
Over the years, Haberli has collaborated with leading international brands including Vitra, Iittala, Moroso, Luceplan, Georg Jensen, and Alias, creating furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories, and spatial concepts marked by intelligence and ease. His work is especially admired for uniting tradition with innovation and for bringing a sense of joy and humanity to highly resolved forms. Based in Zurich, he continues to create pieces that feel rigorous yet warm, contemporary yet enduring, always shaped by close observation of everyday life.
