Indigenus

Indigenus is a South African design house founded in 2014 by Peter van der Post, created from a vision to elevate the planter from a functional vessel into a sculptural element within architecture and landscape. Rooted in Cape Town and deeply connected to the natural character of Africa, the brand works with leading international designers and artists to create expressive pieces defined by generous scale, grounded forms, and tactile materiality. Each planter is handcrafted using sustainably sourced natural materials, with in-house manufacturing allowing exceptional attention to finish, durability, and detail. Collaborations with designers including Yabu Pushelberg, Sebastian Herkner, and Andile Dyalvane bring distinct perspectives to the collection while preserving a strong sense of place.
