At Luminaire, we have connected others with good design viscerally, emotionally, and intellectually for over 40 years. In that time, we have shared the stories behind the the most influential products and designers in the world today. This month, we continue our series of stories with London-based Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades in DESIGNLIVES.
On September 23rd, the London-based designer Michael Anastassiades gave a captivating lecture at Luminaire Lab discussing his own definition of design and his personal interpretation of interactive design that exude social interaction and its implications. Following the lecture, the crowd experienced the poetic essence of Anastassiades’ design during the debut of the String and IC lights collections for FLOS. With a purity of form and honesty of materials, these mesmerizing new collections are based on the concept of subtraction.
