Luminaire expands with the integration of DZINE
Expanding its industry-leading position as a center of design education and exploration, Luminaire is pleased to announce the integration of San Francisco-based DZINE into its family. DZINE’s integration brings an exceptional collection of knowledge, experience, and relationships to Luminaire while expanding its footprint to one of the country’s most important design markets in San Francisco.
Luminaire and DZINE’s missions were founded on the belief that design has the power to affect one’s environment and enrich lives. Operating as Luminaire, the combined team will continue that mission on an expanded and powerful journey, one which will challenge and change the landscape of high-end design-focused retail in the US and beyond. This integration is vital and sets the standard for Luminaire’s continued expansion and evolution in becoming the foremost destination for Good Design across the country. As Luminaire grows and continues to challenge the baseline for design retail, the growth, and integration of industry-leading design minds and platforms will serve as a vital element in its success.
CEO of Luminaire, John Hart, contributed the following:
“Luminaire sets the standard by which all other design experiences are measured, and today once again, we see ourselves pushing forward, finding new ways to challenge, create and feed our collective curiosity.
DZINE is the clear leader in providing great interior design experiences in the Bay Area. By joining forces with the Forbords and DZINE we will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of that experience to new heights in all of our markets. We are very much looking forward to working with the DZINE team and engaging the Bay Area design community.”
The collective leadership, knowledge, team, and relationships in both Luminaire and DZINE will be unmatched in the world of design retail. This integration serves as a testament to Luminaire's expansion on the retail front and the ability to integrate some of the most talented minds and eyes working in the industry today.
Luminaire, founded 47 years go by Nargis and Nasir Kassamali, who were recently awarded the Compasso d'Oro for a lifetime achievement in democratizing design, laid the foundation for the world of Good Design in the industry through its design centers and its ability to discover new voices, curate exhibitions, and challenge the conceptions of the world around us.
