An environment like no other, Luminaire X was a neighborhood within a neighborhood. For two months only in the Moore Building of the Miami Design District, Luminaire X invited everyone to celebrate good design, browse first-rate literature, shop for clothes, check out new music, enjoy a beverage, or simply hang out in the WiFi video lounge.
Luminaire X brought people from all over Miami together to share stories and connect with each other.
On Friday, February 29th, 2008, over five hundred people attended the opening reception at Luminaire X, celebrating the many ways design can positively affect people’s lives.
Life Project stole the show, shaking up the audience with a breath-taking, live performance of their incredible music. Books & Books presented a selection of limited edition and rare books, while BASE showcased the latest fashions and coolest selection of culturally hip items. Lavazza served tea and coffee, and 10 Cane Rum offered flavorful mojitos. In the Bang & Olufsen video lounge, provocative videos of contemporary dance performances and a screening of Helvetica kept audiences entertained.
Explore, experiment, experience — see how good design can change your life and your community.
