Patrizia Moroso, Creative Director of Moroso, has transformed the family business from old-line upholstery retail to a forward-thinking design company known for inventive collaborations with established designers like Ron Arad, Marcel Wanders and Ross Lovegrove. With an eye for talent, Moroso is also responsible for casting a spotlight on new innovators like Patricia Urquiola and Tord Boontje.
On February 26, 2009, Luminaire was honored to invite Patrizia Moroso to the Luminaire Lab for a breakfast conversation with Miami designers, architects and design enthusiasts. Personable and pleasant, Moroso shared her humble perspective on contemporary design, the role of information and technology in today’s design practices, and her admiration for Vitra. She also charmed guests with stories of her experiences with famed designers in the casual and relaxed environment.
Luminaire displayed some pieces by Moroso so that guests could experience the Moroso vision firsthand, with all of its joyful, organic, and life-enhancing designs.
