Жан Пруве создал первую версию настенного светильника Potence в 1940-х годах для своего дома в Нанси: простая лампочка крепилась к длинному поворотному стальному стержню, который поддерживался стальной проволокой. Этот функционалистский, пуристский дизайн вскоре стал выпускаться в различных размерах, а более крупные модели имели дополнительную ручку для облегчения поворота. Petite Potence имеет схожие пропорции с более крупной моделью Potence, а его компактные размеры идеально подходят для небольших интерьеров. Длина поворотного кронштейна составляет 103 см, он покрыт порошковой краской в ​​цветах, воспроизводящих оригинальные оттенки, использованные Пруве.
