The Muses Sculptures

The sculptures are produced at Cores da Terra, the studio of ceramicist Selma Calheira in Brazil. The studio is widely recognized for its role in developing local artisan skills and contributing to the cultural and economic life of its community.

White ceramic carries associations with classical antiquity, from Greek marble to unglazed figurines found in ancient votive contexts. For Ramon, the absence of color and surface decoration focuses attention entirely on form, allowing each abstract silhouette to evoke its mythological subject without illustration.
