Superellipse™ B611 Table

The Superellipse is one of modern Scandinavian design's most quietly radical propositions. In 1959, the Danish polymath Piet Hein solved a city planning problem at Sergels Torg in Stockholm by proposing a roundabout shaped neither as a rectangle nor an ellipse, but as something mathematically between the two. That form, the superellipse, proved so spatially compelling that it became a table.

The B611 table seats four. More than a dimension, that capacity reflects the original intent: no corners, no head of the table, no implied hierarchy. Conversation circulates as freely as the geometry allows.

Fenix, the surface material used here, is a next-generation nano-tech laminate developed in Italy. It resists fingerprints, absorbs light rather than reflecting it, and can be thermally repaired if scratched. It brings a matte, almost tactile depth to a form whose origins are purely mathematical.

The EU Ecolabel certification is among the most rigorous environmental standards applied to furniture in Europe, accounting for material sourcing, production processes, and end-of-life considerations. It is a measure of commitment, not a marketing position.
