A single steel tube curves, returns, and resolves itself into a chair. No traditional legs, no surplus material, no interruption. The Strong Chair, introduced by Desalto in 2019, is the product of a design logic that finds its answer in reduction.
The continuous tubular frame serves simultaneously as structure and silhouette. Its looping geometry lifts the seat from the ground, producing a floating quality that shifts the chair's visual weight without compromising its physical stability. The thin steel wall that defines the form is precisely the point: the void beneath the seat becomes as deliberate as the seat itself.
