The Midnight Sun floor lamp, designed by Lukáš Novák for Lasvit's Spacey Collection, draws its character from one of the most demanding techniques in Bohemian glassmaking. Lithyalin glass, developed in the early nineteenth century, produces a dense, gemstone-like opacity that shifts with light, giving each hand-blown sphere a surface unlike any other.
Novák's design frames this celestial form in polished brass, creating a quiet conversation between industrial precision and the organic variation inherent to handcraft. Because the glass is mouth-blown and finished by hand, no two lamps share the same color distribution or pattern. The sphere measures 350 mm in diameter, the overall height reaching 498 mm.
