Qlocktwo Clock
Made by QLOCKTWO
Marco Biegert and Andreas Funk conceived QLOCKTWO as a quiet provocation: what if a clock communicated time the way a person would, in words rather than numbers? The result is a wall clock that renders the hour in illuminated phrases, turning an everyday act of reading the time into something contemplative.
The corpus is milled from a single block of aluminum in one continuous process, achieving a monolithic solidity that conventional manufacturing cannot replicate. There are no seams, no joins, no visual interruptions. LED technology illuminates each letter with sharp, clean edges, the characters appearing in pure white against the face.
- Time expressed in natural language phrases
- Monolithic aluminum body, cut from a single block
- Precision LED illumination with sharp typographic definition
- Available in multiple languages and surface finishes
QLOCKTWO does not simply display information. It slows the glance, asks for a moment of reading, and reframes the clock as an object of reflection as much as function.
Typically ships in 12-14 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does QLOCKTWO display the time?
QLOCKTWO tells the time through illuminated words arranged in a grid of letters on its face. Rather than hands or numerals, phrases such as "it is a quarter past two" light up to indicate the current time in five-minute increments, with corner dots marking the individual minutes between.
What languages is QLOCKTWO available in?
QLOCKTWO is produced in a wide range of languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and many others. The language is embedded in the letter grid of the face itself, so each version is a distinct object rather than a simple setting change.
How is the aluminum body of the QLOCKTWO made?
The corpus is machined from a single solid block of aluminum in one continuous milling process. This approach eliminates joints and assembly seams, giving the clock an uninterrupted, sculptural presence that distinguishes it from conventionally constructed housings.
Who are the designers behind QLOCKTWO?
QLOCKTWO was created by Marco Biegert and Andreas Funk, two German designers who founded the brand in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. The original concept was developed in 2003 and introduced to the public in 2009, earning widespread recognition for its typographic approach to timekeeping.
What finish and size options does QLOCKTWO offer?
QLOCKTWO is available in several sizes and a variety of face and frame finishes, including brushed stainless steel, powder-coated options, and high-gloss surfaces. The range allows the clock to function as a considered architectural element within diverse interior contexts.
