Orgone Table
Made by Cappellini
Designed by Marc Newson
Marc Newson designed the Orgone Table for Cappellini in 1998, drawing its unmistakable silhouette from his lifelong fascination with surfboard form. The elongated, biomorphic outline sits on four slender legs, giving the piece a lightness that belies its structural confidence.
The table is constructed from fiberglass with a poplar fiberglass insert, finished in a high-gloss lacquer. Available in white, orange, red, blue, and black, each color reads differently against the curved profile: the brighter hues amplify its sculptural presence, while black and white resolve into something quieter and more graphic.
Rated for outdoor use, the Orgone Table moves between terrace and interior with equal ease. Its proportions suit a low seating arrangement, and its surface, smooth and uninterrupted, rewards the eye from every angle.
