Antonio Citterio conceived the Loungescape as a seating system in the truest sense: not a single object, but an environment within an environment. Its modular architecture groups cushions into a continuous, organic whole, the proportions calibrated so that each angle of inclination draws the body naturally into rest.
The signature raked base is the piece's defining contradiction. Against the initial impression of dense, monolithic mass, the base lifts the form, introducing a visual lightness that shifts the entire atmosphere of a room. Upholstered in removable covers and filled with goose down over polyurethane foam, the cushions achieve a softness that holds its shape across years of use.
