Lifesteel
Made by Flexform
Designed by Antonio Citterio
The Lifesteel is one of Flexform's most considered expressions of restraint. Its rectangular armrests carry the same height as the seat back, creating a single, unbroken horizontal line that reads as both architectural and inviting. The silhouette is clean without being austere.
A cowhide-upholstered frame sets the structural tone. Within it, seat cushions filled with goose down over a crushproof core offer the kind of give that deepens with use. The back cushions follow the same logic: goose down in front, a Dacron-filled bolster behind, calibrated for support that doesn't announce itself.
The metal base is minimal by design, available in a range of refined finishes that keep the eye on the form above. Grosgrain piping runs the perimeter of each cushion, available in a matching or contrasting color - a couture gesture borrowed from Italian tailoring tradition.
