    Description

Referencing a sculptural piece of geometric abstraction, the Earthquake Dish is designed by the renowned Belgian ceramicist, Piet Stockmans. The surface of the dish resembles the patchwork of tectonic plates that move slowly into each other during an earthquake. Filled with form and texture, the dish can be used as a decorative or serving dish for chocolates during parties. Piet Stockmans set up his studio in 1987 and has been specializing in handcrafted products that are made in small series. To develop new products he begins with the raw material, porcelain, and specializes in making objects with palpable texture. Each design Stockmans produces is a true original, worthy of becoming a keepsake item.
