Charles and Ray Eames approached design as a language, one built from repeating units, graphic rhythms, and the geometry of everyday observation. The Dot Pattern Light is rooted in that sensibility: a three-dimensional translation of the dot-grid pattern the duo developed across textiles, prints, and surfaces throughout their career.
Cassina engineers the composition from slender rods and luminous spheres arranged in cross-shaped formations. Each element is both structural and expressive, contributing to a system that reads as modular yet feels organic. The result holds the quality of a drawing suspended in space.
The collection now includes a vertical suspension model, extending the system's vocabulary into a bold vertical orientation. Wall, horizontal suspension, and this newest vertical format together define a coherent lighting family, each version sharing the same graphic identity while occupying space in a distinct way.
