Ala Dining Chair with Arms
Made by Ceccotti Collezioni
Designed by Giuseppe Casarosa
The Ala chair with arms is a study in considered proportion. Giuseppe Casarosa drew the silhouette to widen at the back, creating a sense of welcome without sacrificing the clean architectural lines that define the piece from the front. The trapezoidal face reads as bold and sculptural; the profile softens into something more organic.
Ceccotti Collezioni has worked in solid wood from their Tuscan workshop for decades, and the Ala reflects that heritage directly. The frame is offered in American walnut or ash, shaped and finished with the kind of modeling that reveals itself gradually, in the grain's response to light, in the gentle curves where the wood meets the hand. Beneath the upholstered backrest, a poplar plywood structure with elastic straps gives a quiet resilience to the form.
