93 begins with a gesture of controlled chance: molten aluminum poured directly into a hand-blown glass vessel. As the metal moves and cools, it traces its own path through the interior, solidifying into a form that cannot be predicted, only witnessed. Each piece preserves a single, unrepeatable moment of material meeting material.
Illuminated from within, light travels through the glass and across the aluminum's oxidized contours, revealing the subtle topography left behind by heat and pressure. The effect is neither purely industrial nor purely organic - it sits in the tension between the two.
Every 93 is hand-formed at Bocci's studio in Vancouver. The series accommodates a range of installations:
- Table light with an integral dimming system, semi-rigid black fabric cord, and a brass or black stand adaptable for wall-mounting
- Wall and ceiling pendants on a white powder-coated or brass-finish base
- Multi-pendant arrangements suspended via coaxial cables for large-scale, sculptural configurations
No two pieces share an identical silhouette. Variation is not incidental - it is the point.
