Enzo Calabrese was born in 1961 in Brindisi, Italy, and is an architect and industrial designer based in Pescara. He leads kei en, an architecture and design studio, and is a PhD, researcher, and professor of Architectural Composition at Universita G. d’Annunzio.
His work moves between architecture, interiors, and product design, with lighting as a recurring field of experimentation. He is widely recognized for co-designing the Sampei lamp with Davide Groppi, a celebrated piece noted for its extreme visual lightness and its award recognition, including the Compasso d’Oro (2014) and EDIDA (2012).
