Ellinor Eliasson

Born 1986 | Sweden

Ellinor Eliasson is a Swedish textile designer educated at the Swedish School of Textiles at the University of Boras. She joined Kasthall's product and design development team in 2015, first through an internship and then as part of a broader creative practice centered on rug design and textile exploration.

Her work is often described by Kasthall as beginning with the material itself and with a curiosity to explore the possibilities of textile production. That sensibility is especially evident in projects such as Harvest, which developed from the idea of using residual yarn from production, and in other designs that translate technical understanding into rugs with a strong sense of rhythm, structure, and understated expression. Within the Kasthall context, Eliasson represents a newer generation of Swedish textile design rooted in craft knowledge but open to experimentation and contemporary ways of living.
