Since 2001 | Belgium

When Objects Work was established in 2001 by Belgian founder Beatrice Delafontaine, who envisioned a collection of everyday objects refined to their purest essence, uniting architecture, art and design in quietly expressive forms. Emerging from her background in bespoke furniture and kitchen design, the brand was created to fill a gap she perceived in the domestic landscape: objects that are both deeply functional and aesthetically elemental. From the beginning, Delafontaine invited renowned architects and designers such as Vincent Van Duysen, John Pawson, Bruno Erpicum and Michael Verheyden to collaborate, resulting in a collection shaped by rigorous minimalism and material poetry. Each piece is handcrafted in Europe using natural materials such as ceramic, stone, wood and glass, reflecting the brand’s devotion to timeless tactility and the culture of craft. Over the years, When Objects Work has become a global reference for objects that feel both intimate and architectural, offering a serene vocabulary of forms designed to elevate the rituals of everyday living.
