A sculpture of translucence, a weightless island of repose, Wire S from Muller Van Severen is seating that surprises, from the lightness of aesthetic to strength of form, from the simplicity of its delicate lines to complexity of its construction, a balanced play of volume and light. Indeed, each seat acts as a chameleon; for as capacious as its area, Wire S becomes invisible in the sunlight as its shadow floats below, elusive and refined.
Imbued with vigor, sophistication, subtle beauty and delightful character, Wire S was conceived as a series of objects set against 100 hectares of nature in Northern Spain, a complement to the architectural holiday home, Solo House.
