A sophisticated exploration in reduction, Swedish designer Olog Kolte's collection of bowls harmoniously blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary form. The Kolte Bowls are finished in warm, polished brass for a sophisticated appearance that adds the brightness of reflection to any space. Contrasting with this expressive exterior is the interior which is powder coated in black or white for a modern mixture of finishes. The bowls are the perfect addition to the table, console, or nightstand where they serve as a faithful place to deposit odds and ends or serve candies or nuts.
The functional accessories were designed for Skultuna, a 400-year old fine metals company from the Swedish town of the same name. Under royal warrant from the monarchy of Sweden, the company has been mastering the craft of metalworking and fine finishing techniques since 1607. Sophisticated in its simplicity and honest in its materials, the Kolte Bowls blend craftsmanship with modern design to create an enduring object.
