Kielo Vase Clear

The Kielo Vase was designed by Emanuele Pizzolorusso, an Italian designer known for objects that draw from natural forms and artisanal glass production. He collaborated with Ichendorf Milano, a brand rooted in Italian glassmaking craft.

Kielo is the Finnish name for lily of the valley. Pizzolorusso chose the reference for the flower's distinctive drooping, fluid silhouette, which directly informed the vase's gravity-weighted base and organic neck.

It is handmade and handblown, meaning each piece carries slight variation in form and surface. This is characteristic of Ichendorf Milano's production, which preserves the presence of the maker in the finished object.

The vase's varied openings, one narrow and one wider, are designed to hold single stems or loosely grouped flowers without dense arranging. The form suits spare, architectural arrangements as well as simple wildflower cuttings.

Ichendorf Milano works within a long tradition of Italian glassmaking, collaborating with designers to produce objects where form emerges from the material's own behavior, including the way molten glass responds to breath, heat, and gravity.
