Infinito Wall Lamp
Made by Davide Groppi
Designed by Davide Groppi
Infinito is less a lamp than a spatial proposition. A razor-thin strip of stainless steel, barely an inch in width, draws an unbroken line of indirect light across a room. The effect is architectural: light becomes geometry, and geometry dissolves into atmosphere.
Davide Groppi founded his studio in Piacenza, Italy, with a conviction that the best light is the kind you feel before you see its source. His practice treats lighting as philosophy, stripping each object down to the single gesture that earns its place in a room. Infinito may be the purest expression of that thinking.
Installed horizontally, it reads as a horizon. Installed vertically, it bisects a room with quiet authority. The same profile adapts from wall-to-wall or floor-to-ceiling, available in a six-meter continuous length, leaving almost no footprint against the surface it inhabits.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Davide Groppi Infinito made of?
The Infinito is constructed from a stainless steel profile, kept deliberately minimal in width, approximately one inch. The material is chosen for its precision and its ability to recede visually, allowing the light itself to register rather than the fixture.
Can the Infinito be installed both horizontally and vertically?
Yes. The Infinito is designed to be installed in either orientation. Horizontal placement creates a continuous horizon line across a wall or ceiling, while a vertical installation bisects a surface, producing a different spatial reading entirely.
What length does the Davide Groppi Infinito come in?
The Infinito is available in a six-meter continuous length, making it suitable for full wall-to-wall or floor-to-ceiling runs in residential and architectural applications.
What is Davide Groppi's design philosophy?
Davide Groppi, working from his studio in Piacenza, Italy, approaches lighting as a reductive practice. His work strips each object to its essential gesture, prioritizing the quality and mood of light over the visibility of the fixture that produces it.
Is the Infinito suitable for large-scale architectural projects?
Its six-meter length, minimal profile, and flexible orientation make it a strong candidate for architectural installations, including hospitality, residential, and cultural spaces where light is intended to define rather than merely illuminate a volume.
