Halo One
The Halo One is a study in reduction. A disc of anodized aluminum rests atop a slender vertical rod, and from it emanates a single, unbroken ring of colored light - deep blue or sunset red - cast into the surrounding space with quiet authority.
Milan-based studio Mandalaki was founded on the intersection of light and optical research. Their work treats the beam itself as form, not merely function. The Halo One is perhaps the clearest expression of that philosophy: the fixture nearly disappears, and what remains is the phenomenon it produces.
- High-power LED with a precision optical system engineered for atmospheric projection
- Anodized aluminum disc and rod construction
- Available in deep blue or sunset red projected light
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments
The projected halo reads differently across surfaces and distances, shifting from geometric precision to ambient wash depending on placement. It is an object that rewards considered positioning, and one whose presence is as much felt as seen.

Frequently Asked Questions
What colors of projected light does the Halo One offer?
The Halo One is available with either a deep blue or sunset red projected light ring. The color is produced through a high-power LED paired with a precision optical system, not a filter or gel.
Can the Halo One be used outdoors?
Yes. The Halo One is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, making it well suited to covered terraces, garden environments, and architectural exterior spaces where atmospheric lighting is desired.
Who designs the Halo One, and what is Mandalaki's design approach?
Mandalaki is a Milan-based design studio whose practice centers on the relationship between light, optics, and form. Their work often treats the light beam or projection as the primary design element, with the physical object serving as a minimal, recessive support.
What material is the Halo One made from?
The fixture is constructed from anodized aluminum, a material chosen for its resistance to corrosion, its precise finish quality, and its ability to maintain a refined appearance both indoors and in exterior conditions.
How does placement affect the Halo One's light projection?
The projected ring shifts in character depending on the distance from surrounding surfaces and the texture of those surfaces. On a smooth wall at close range, the halo reads as a crisp geometric circle; pulled further into a room, it diffuses into a broader atmospheric wash.
