The Modern Cabinet began with a deceptively simple premise: project a pure geometric form into space, then resolve every joint, proportion, and surface with equal discipline. Piero Lissoni's design for Porro achieves exactly that. The 400 mm modular rhythm governs every composition, whether it develops horizontally across a dining wall or rises vertically as a freestanding architectural element.
Where most storage systems rely on cover panels to conceal structural transitions, the Modern Cabinet dispenses with them entirely. A precisely resolved 45-degree connection between side and top closes the form cleanly, preserving the purity of the silhouette without ornament or apology.
