Balloons Table Lamp
Made by BROKIS
Designed by Lucie Koldova and Dan Yeffet, the Balloons Table Lamp is built around a central paradox: glass that seems to disappear. The outer shell, formed from multiple layers of mouth-blown glass, reads as barely there, a weightless envelope that traps and diffuses light rather than directing it. The reflector hovering at the center appears to float, as though the light source has freed itself from any fixture at all.
Each piece is produced in the Czech Republic, a country whose glass-making tradition spans centuries. Brokis works with master craftsmen who shape molten glass by hand, coaxing forms that industrial processes cannot replicate. The resulting object carries the quiet irregularity of the handmade: consistent enough to feel resolved, individual enough to feel alive.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Brokis Balloons lamp made?
The Balloons lamp is manufactured in the Czech Republic by Brokis, a studio that works exclusively with master glass-makers trained in the country's centuries-old glass-blowing tradition. Each piece is formed by hand using a multi-layer molten glass technique.
Who designed the Brokis Balloons Table Lamp?
The Balloons collection was designed by Lucie Koldova and Dan Yeffet, whose collaborative practice focuses on the intersection of craft, material behavior, and light. Both designers have worked extensively with Brokis across multiple collections.
What glass technique is used to make the Balloons lamp?
Each Balloons lamp is mouth-blown using a traditional multi-layer glass process. Successive layers of molten glass are gathered and shaped by hand, producing the characteristic depth and translucency of the finished form.
What sizes and finishes does the Balloons Table Lamp come in?
The Balloons Table Lamp is available in small and medium sizes, with smoke grey glass and a matt black reflector as the standard configuration. Additional colorways and sizes can be specified and are available by inquiry.
Is the Brokis Balloons lamp suitable for a custom specification project?
Yes. Beyond the standard smoke grey and matt black offering, Brokis produces the Balloons lamp in alternate glass tones and finishes for custom and contract projects. Lead times vary by specification, as each piece is made to order.
