Pelle Frau® ColorSphere Impact Less is a full-grain leather developed by Poltrona Frau with a reduced environmental footprint, achieved through a tanning process that lowers water and chemical consumption. It retains the same tactile depth, suppleness, and color fidelity as the standard Pelle Frau hides, offered across a curated palette organized by chromatic family.

Jean-Marie Massaud is a Paris-based French designer and architect whose practice spans furniture, product design, and large-scale architecture. Trained at the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris, he is known for work that prioritizes sensory experience and formal economy in equal measure. His collaborations with Italian manufacturers, including Poltrona Frau, reflect a sustained interest in how industrial processes can produce objects of genuine physical warmth.

The Archibald Armchair is offered in three colorways from the Pelle Frau® ColorSphere Impact Less palette: Creta, a soft warm neutral; Chiffon, a pale and refined off-white tone; and India, a deeper, richer hue. Each is part of a palette designed to maintain chromatic coherence across Poltrona Frau's upholstered collections.

The Archibald's steel structure, durable Pelle Frau leather, and Italian production standards make it appropriate for both residential and high-end contract environments such as hospitality lounges, private offices, and executive reception areas. Its proportions and material specification were developed to withstand extended use without compromising the chair's formal character.

The seat and back are padded with a combination of polyurethane foam and polyester fiber, a layering that provides initial softness while retaining its shape over time. The enveloping shell geometry distributes support across the back and sides rather than concentrating it at a single point, which reduces fatigue during extended seating.
