Bocci's 14 Series began in 2005 as an inquiry into the expressive possibilities of cast glass. Each sphere is formed from two hand-cast hemispheres, their equator deliberately imperfect, their surface alive with the natural variation that only a human hand and molten material can produce together.
The 14p carries that same language into a cordless form. Freed from any fixed position, the lamp becomes something closer to an object than a fixture. It moves with the occasion: a dining table set for the evening, a terrace at dusk, a shelf rearranged on impulse.

Is the glass in each 14p unique?
Yes. Because each sphere is formed from two individually hand-cast glass hemispheres, no two pieces are identical. Surface texture, minor color shifts, and the character of the equatorial seam vary naturally from piece to piece, which is a defining quality of Bocci's glass production.
Can multiple 14p lamps be grouped together?
The lamp is designed to work both as a standalone object and in multiples. Grouping several units across a table or surface amplifies the soft, candle-like atmosphere characteristic of the 14 Series, and each lamp operates independently, so brightness levels can be set individually.
