A private villa in the heart of Lombardy demonstrates how the considered pairing of design and function can produce interiors of singular character. Light is the absolute protagonist, drawn in through full-height windows in the living area and kitchen and amplified by pale floors and walls set against a disciplined palette of black furnishings. The house sits in quiet harmony with its surroundings, offering the client a place to retreat and unwind in complete tranquility.
The living room is anchored by the Grid TV composition by Molteni and the Alfa sofa by Zanotta. The Wind double-sided bookcase by Rimadesio, specified in total black, separates the living room from the dining area. Aesthetic lightness and technological innovation, the hallmarks of Rimadesio and of designer Giuseppe Bavuso, allow the two zones to read as distinct without compromising the room's luminosity.
The dining room features a generously scaled Long Island table by Rimadesio, capable of hosting larger gatherings, paired with Flow Chair seating by MDF Italia in two variants. Beyond the dining area sits the Italia kitchen by Arclinea, designed by Antonio Citterio. A striking double-shelf hood is suspended above the central island, which is fabricated entirely in steel. To frame the island, Interni's Creative Team designed an L-shaped composition in matte black Phoenix, set against the warm tones of the parquet floor to produce a deliberate study in contrast.
The dining area, framed by a large window with three sliding doors, opens onto the garden. Roda was selected for the outdoor furnishings: the sofa and armchairs from the Piper collection, the ottoman from the Double collection, and the Sunglass coffee table.
