Echoes of the Horizon.

Along the northern coast of Egypt, Beyond Blue is a summer villa conceived to settle into its landscape, dissolving the threshold between interior and surrounding nature and drawing the horizon inside to produce a contemplative environment. The project was developed as a retreat, a place where architecture and interior design work in concert to maintain a consistent register of calm and openness. Aura Egypt and Interni curated the indoor and outdoor furnishings together, shaping the atmosphere of the residence through a deliberate selection of materials, forms, and tones.

The concept behind Beyond Blue is an invitation to live within the landscape, extending the sensory range of the beach through a fluid sequence of spaces. Materials such as wood, terrazzo, and natural finishes, paired with a palette of blue, sand, and neutral tones, establish a visual continuity that refers back to the sea and the sky and reinforces the sense of repose. Natural light, distributed with care across each room, deepens the prevailing quietude.

Inside, the furnishings selected by Aura Egypt and Interni reflect an idea of refined, unforced comfort. Moroso's pieces are central to that reading, registering a soft, informal vocabulary: the Pacific sofa, the Gogan coffee table, and the Pipe armchair define the living area as a relaxed and welcoming space. They are joined by signature pieces from leading Italian and international houses, the sculptural Archibald armchair by Poltrona Frau, the Hide and Seek sideboard by Gallotti&Radice, the Louisa and Vicino side tables by Molteni, the Saint Germain sofa by Poliform, and the Feudo coffee table by Natuzzi. Each element contributes to a composition of harmony and lightness in which nothing is left to chance.

The outdoor spaces follow the same design approach, conceived as fluid, versatile areas in continuous dialogue with the landscape. Interni and Aura Egypt curated the outdoor furnishings to register the same standard as the interiors. The dining area is centered on the lightness of the Altopiano table by Paola Lenti and Calypso seating by Royal Botania, paired with Pierre coffee tables and garden ottomans by Flou. Further pieces specified for the outdoor program include the Morning Glory side table by Moroso, Sofy side tables by Talenti, the D48 Roll by Kettal, and the Surf sun lounger by Vondom, all working together toward an atmosphere that is at once relaxed and carefully composed.

Beyond Blue reads as more than a villa; it offers a way of inhabiting space that holds continuity with nature and the horizon at its center. Through the collaboration between Aura Egypt and Interni, each room becomes part of a coherent and considered narrative in which every furnishing piece reinforces the dialogue between architecture, landscape, and wellbeing.
