Ron Gilad

Born 1972 | Israel

Ron Gilad is an Israeli designer whose work is defined by intellectual play, formal precision, and a distinctive ability to move between sculpture and functional object. Born in 1972 in Tel Aviv, he studied at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem before building his career in New York, where he lived and worked for around a decade. After returning to Tel Aviv in 2013, he opened his own office while developing a close relationship with the Milan design world.

Across furniture, lighting, and collectible objects, Gilad has become known for pieces that question familiar typologies while remaining elegant, usable, and visually exacting. Cassina describes his hybrid objects as combining material wit with aesthetic play and notes that his works range from sculptures to production pieces collected in both public and private collections worldwide. His practice stands out for creating objects that feel cerebral yet light, rigorous yet surprising, making him a strong fit for interiors that value both conceptual depth and visual restraint.
