Philipp Mainzer

Born in Germany in 1969, Philipp Mainzer studied product design at Central Saint Martins and architecture at the Architectural Association in London. In 1995, he co-founded e15, building its identity around reduced forms and a clear focus on solid wood, craftsmanship, and longevity. The brand name references East London, where the first workshop began, and the early collection quickly became recognizable for its confident, structural silhouettes.

Parallel to e15, Mainzer has maintained an active architecture and interior practice, bringing the same logic of structure, rhythm, and material honesty into spaces for cultural, retail, and residential clients.
