Calvi Brambilla

Born 2006 | Italy

Calvi Brambilla is the Milan-based design studio founded in 2006 by architects Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla. Public profiles describe the practice as multidisciplinary, spanning architecture, design, art direction, and exhibition design, with a body of work shaped by both conceptual imagination and strict control over execution. Fabio Calvi was born in Pavia in 1969, and Paolo Brambilla in Lecco in 1973.

Over the years, the studio has developed projects for many of the leading names in Italian design, including Flos, Zanotta, Ceccotti Collezioni, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Poltrona Frau, Desalto, and Pedrali. Their official studio profile notes that both designers worked as design curators at Flos for four years and currently serve as artistic directors for Dooor and Zanotta. Across furniture, interiors, exhibitions, and product design, Calvi Brambilla brings together architectural discipline, attention to detail, and a cultivated Italian sensibility that gives its work a sense of clarity, elegance, and quiet personality.
