Ross Lovegrove

Ross Lovegrove was born in 1958 in Cardiff, Wales. He studied industrial design at Manchester Polytechnic, graduating in 1980, and later earned a Master of Design from the Royal College of Art in London in 1983. Early in his career he worked for Frog Design in Germany on projects for companies such as Sony and Apple, and later joined Knoll International in Paris before establishing his own studio in London in 1990.

Lovegrove is internationally recognized for his visionary approach to design, often inspired by the logic and beauty of natural forms. His work spans furniture, lighting, consumer products, and even concept cars, combining advanced technology with sculptural, fluid aesthetics. He has collaborated with global brands including Moroso, Vitra, Kartell, Luceplan, and KEF, and his designs are included in major museum collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Vitra Design Museum in Germany.
