In October 2002, Luminaire conceived a new division, Luminaire Contract, which will serve as an esplanade for discovery, one that will ask not what a space is but rather what it can be. A team of talented architects comprise Luminaire Contract, curating large scale residential and commercial projects all over South Florida while spreading a passion for good design as an environment that stimulates all senses. Luminaire Contract would additionally host a showroom space that endorses young designers and extols the classics.

Keeping in line with Luminaire’s rich tradition of promoting young designers, the Grand Opening for Luminaire Contract featured Giovanni Pagnotta, a newly discovered American design talent. His Prototype collection has been described as ‘the origami of a machinest,’ evoking the nostalgia of classic design, yet modernized with the beauty and strength of Carbon Fiber.

According to Pagnotta, ‘Carbon fiber is a super material, capable of changing Design itself. I’ve worked in wood and metal, carbon fiber is the cats meow. Once you go carbon, you never go back.’

Over 400 guests that celebrated the grand opening of Luminaire Contract, enlightened by the risk-taking creativity and heart-stopping beauty of Pagnotta’s latest prototypes.
