Description
Admire the primitive unglazed outside and the beautifully glazed inside of the unique hand-crafted porcelain Windlights by Pieter Stockmans. Paper-thin porcelain is formed into unique vessels for use as an ethereal lamp; place a small candle inside and the material glows a brilliant golden-yellow.
With the intention of designing elements for table settings, paying special attention to chinaware, Pieter Stockman set up Studio Pieter Stockmans in 1987. His studio specializes in handicraft products that are made in small series. To develop new products he begins with the raw material, porcelain, and specializes in making very thin, transparent products with unglazed outsides so that the user has direct contact with the material's texture.
