Description
After observing people's use of Random, the now iconic bookcase created from irregularly spaced vertical and horizontal dividers, Neuland-Industriedesign noticed it was used for more than books- souvenirs, sculptures, and other objects- found their way into the cases. The Random Box cleverly considered storage habits to ingeniously create a play between concealment and display.
Not just divided by functional matters, objects displayed in Random are meant to be arranged by the expression of emotional connection the owner has to the objects themselves. From total concealment to explicit exposition one now finds the right space for every personal item, allowing the user the possibility to put away the unneeded, the unwanted, the precious or the secret.
